Our Shelter to Home Partner Program was created to support shelters and rescue organizations with natural enrichment for animals in their care and a thoughtful welcome home experience for adopters.
We provide curated enrichment boxes, adoption materials, and optional sample packs to approved shelter and rescue partners.

We wanted to create a program that could help make that time a little better while also giving adopters something thoughtful to take home with their new companion.

What Shelter to Home Partners Receive

Shelter Enrichment Boxes
Approved partners receive two enrichment shipments each year, filled with a curated selection of natural H&N Homestead treats and chews for dogs and cats in their care.
Products are selected for supervised enrichment.

Adopter Welcome Inserts
Adoption packets can include an H&N Homestead welcome insert with a digital offer for the adopter's first order.
It's a simple way to introduce a new family to natural, single-ingredient treats as they begin life together.

Optional Adopter Samples
Partners may opt in to receive a limited number of pre-selected sample packs for adopters.
Sample packs are intentionally small and simple, with no bones or higher-risk items included.

Enrichment for Dogs and Cats in Shelter Care
Enrichment gives animals something positive to focus on while they're in an unfamiliar environment. Natural treats and chews can provide opportunities for chewing, engagement, and mental stimulation when used appropriately.
Our Shelter Enrichment Boxes contain a curated variety of H&N Homestead products selected with shelter and rescue environments in mind.
Because every animal and organization is different, all treats and chews should be provided according to the shelter's own feeding practices and supervised appropriately.
Products are pre-selected by H&N Homestead and cannot be customized by individual shelter.
A Little Something for Their New Home
Every adoption is the beginning of a new relationship, and we wanted to give families a little something to celebrate it.
Participating shelters can include an H&N Homestead welcome insert in their adoption packets. The insert gives adopters 20% off their first H&N Homestead order of $15 or more, redeemable online.
Why We Created Shelter to Home
H&N Homestead started because we wanted better food and treats for our own animals. Over time, that grew into a bigger belief in simple ingredients, thoughtful sourcing, and doing things with purpose.
Shelter animals have always been close to our hearts. Our own dog, Ellie, came from a rescue, and adopting her changed the direction of our lives in more ways than we could have imagined.
Shelter to Home is one small way for us to give back to the organizations helping animals like her find their people.

Who Can Apply?
The Shelter to Home Partner Program is designed for registered animal shelters and rescue organizations caring for dogs and/or cats.
We ask organizations to complete an application so we can learn more about your work, the animals in your care, and how many animals you typically serve.
To participate, organizations must:
Be a registered shelter or rescue organization
Care for dogs and/or cats
Include H&N Homestead adoption inserts in adoption packets
Share H&N Homestead at least once during each enrichment shipment cycle
Participation is supportive in nature. We do not expect shelters to sell products or pressure adopters to purchase.
