Freeze Dried Quail Chicks
Our freeze-dried whole quail chicks are a true whole prey option, offering a natural way to add variety and enrichment to your pet’s diet. These quail chicks are sourced from the quail we raise ourselves, as well as a small family-run farm in Florida that raises quail for a variety of animals, including reptiles, exotic pets, cats, and dogs.
Each chick is freeze-dried by us in Wisconsin to help preserve its natural structure and nutrients while creating a shelf-stable product that’s easy to store and feed.
Quail is considered a novel protein for many dogs and cats, meaning it is less commonly fed compared to proteins like chicken or beef. This can make it a useful option for pets who rotate proteins or for those looking to introduce something different into their routine.
As a whole prey item, quail chicks contain muscle meat, organs, and bone in their natural proportions. This makes them a simple way to incorporate whole prey nutrition into your pet’s routine.
These are well-suited for:
Puppies learning to chew and explore new textures
Cats who benefit from smaller whole prey options
Larger dogs as a light, natural snack
Feed as a treat, enrichment item, or as part of a balanced raw diet.
Feeding bones can be a controversial topic. To learn more about why we only offer freeze-dried bones, read our Blog post.
Please always supervise your pet with any treats/ chews, even safe treats and chews can be a choking hazard if your dog doesn’t swallow properly. All of our products are “feed at your own risk”. Lastly, we are not veterinarians, and these products are not intended for human consumption.
